About Gary

Gary Cao Ge,accomplished artist, songwriter and producer. Released his debut album on the 10th February 2006 in Malaysia. Gary has won the Specially Recommended New Wave Artist in the PWH Music Awards (Persatuan Hiburan Wilayah Persekutuan) 2002. Also, the duet with Michael Wong "Shao Nian" has been a hit. As a real talented songwriter, he has already written for some of the most popular Asian singers, including Aaron Kwok, Michael Wong, S.H.E. and Cyndi Wang (just to name a few) *winkz*

This talented R&B singer was in Malaysia. Gary used to be a very emotional and depressed person having spent his time alone during his university days overseas. He took up music as his getaway from the stress of student life. Gary diligently put all his effort and energy into participating in every singing contest that comes his way. However, his success at singing competitions was not the only thing that fueled his desire to pursue a singing career. Having been a quiet and shy person, Gary learnt to express his feelings, thoughts, and emotions through music, like the time he sang for his heartbroken friend and sang to portray his love for his girlfriend.

"Over the years, I've learned more about the craft... more about how to write, more about playing, more about music, and more about lyrics. I'm finally able to further embellish the ideas I started with a long time ago." Gary said. This eventually paved the way launching his career as a promising international artist.

The early years...
At the age of nine, Gary was able to sing the song SUPERWOMAN, written by L.A. Reid, Babyface, Daryl Simmons (1988) and made popular by Karyn White. The SUPERWOMAN album was Gary's first CD purchase when he was a kid. Gary had never thought or aspired to become a singer as his parents wanted him to be go to university and get a regular nine-to-five job. This song had practically changed his life. Although he did not know the true meaning of the lyric of the song, he had been deeply overwhelmed by the lovely rhythm and it inspired him to learn music. Also, he sang the song so well he convinced his current producer (Tu Hui Yuan) to train him in the art of music.

BLUE - The Album
In this album, Gary has personally composed and co-produced his nine (9) other songs. It has been 4 years since his first album. His second album has been released in Taiwan.
Gary's extraordinary voice has made him capable of singing with a wide vocal range, reaching an extreme high pitch rivaling female singers and low pitch as well. Furthermore, he is the one and only one male singer who took the challenge of singing SUPERWOMAN in a very difficult high tone. His voice comes with much feeling, in a very tender yet strong tone to every word and rhythm he sang. This soulful voice will definitely touch the heart of anyone who listens to his songs!
