entry title: Janice's First Concert in Malaysia!

As promised...

Janice's My First Concert in Malaysia!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Appearing in a bouncy dress and a cute lil hat, Janice kicked off her first ever concert in Malaysia by performing the hit tune, 爱才. She was so nervous that her voice was trembling! And I have to say that, that first song, was a bit of a failure. I looked around and all other audiences wore the same shocking expression on their face too. So it seems I'm not the only one who noticed the bad opening of the concert.

She then rocked the stage with a fast tune, 越幫越忙, dancing around in her bouncy dress.

After that, she took off her skirt and sang a few tunes like 拍錯拖 and 霎眼嬌 in her bubbly green shorts. Despite the bad opening, she was back to herself again after a few songs and her voice is amazingly great!

Princess Janice!

This might seems to be the best costume of the night but not to Janice, herself. Because the crown on her head was way too heavy that she had to bent her head downwards all throughout the song 情深說話未曾講 ( one of my favourites) to support and balance it! I was quite frustrated, as I was really looking forward for this song and thought she will be able to pull it so superbly..but.. SIGH. Cause there's some part of the song which is kinda high-noted and when she sang that, her expression was like so tensed. But it was still good *grins*.

She sang a few songs in this outfit and all through it, she never really smiled. Not because she was angry or frustrated (she's a very very pleasant, polite and good mannered lady, really), but because she was concentrating, trying hard to sing well with the heavy thing on her head.

And at one time when she's giving a thank you speech for Leon Lai, her hairdresser came running out from the backstage. She was so excited cause she thought he was there to remove the heavy crown for her. But actually he just went to add more hair pins on the crown to secure it! LOL. And she playfully kicked the hairdresser which got the crowd laughing because she was wearing a dress that time.

I love this! She looks very cute in that hat! She sang her new single in the upcoming album and she said we're lucky because this is the first time she's performing that song live. She didn't even sing it before in HK! *grins*

Then she appeared in another cute costume, a feathery black thing which makes her looks like a black ostrich! LOL. And she bounced from one end of the stage to another. The thing must be very warm caused when she introduced her band, she unzipped the thing and left it hanging over her shoulder.

After introducing the band, she took off the feather revealing another costume. A jacket with her name across the chest. Well, this outfit looks more like "her". Lol.

I forgot what songs she sang, yes I know, how can I forget?! Cause all throughout the concert I was kinda in a daze. Too excited, maybe? Lol.

Then she sang 夏日倾情 (one of my favourites too!), another song originally by Leon Lai, while playing the guitar with one of the guitarist which she said reminded her of her father cause they have the same long hair and the same name! She amazed us with her guitar skill and her soothing voice. Her voice is just simply great and is getting so much better from the first tune throughout the night.

Her singing skill is really good and is proven when she sang "Hero" by Mariah Carey, in a CheongSam! Lol. Kinda weird. But actually she appeared in this outfit singing the famous oldies 千言万语.

The last outfit for the night. Photo above, she's singing 我想爱就爱.

And the closing of the night, with 大哥. By the end of this song, everyone was rushing to the front of the stage to get a last glimpse of her, including me. We waited there for her to re-appear for encore but sadly, no encores. SIGH. But I was really happy though, cause I managed to see her from such a short distance!

It was a wonderful experience, a great concert with nice costumes and an amazing voice. This is something I will be carving a smile across my face when looking back at my life years later. I'm happy I've made the decision to go, for if not, I will regret it forever.

Til then, enjoy this short and blurry vid of mine, Janice singing Stefanie Sun's 遇见.

entry title: Happy Mother's Day!

Oh my god I have sooo much to blog about but just can't seem to find the time! Lately, 24 hours a day are just not enough for me. Hmph ~-^

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But first of all, would like to wish my mom...

Happy Mother's Day!!!

though she doesn't read my blog. Lol. Since she's in Singapore, I just sent her a text message. Sis bought her a SK II tote. As for me, I already told her that her gift will be cash which she will only receive once I get my salary! ^-^

It has been a week since I came home and the whole week has been all about work, work and work.

***

On the last day of my exam, after finishing the paper, I went for steamboat with Shan, Hiew Moi, Palapes, roommate and Dou.

The steamboat was something like Golden Steamboat in Penang, where we can take as much as we want. We started eating at around 7pm and by 10pm we were all already bloated. Lol. If I'm not mistaken, we can still eat until 11pm. And it only costs RM16/person!

A pic of us before going back.

The next day after that, I headed to KL for Janice's concert (this will be on the next post as I want to totally only blog about the concert!) :D

The night before, I went to Green Box with Dou, ZY and Jia Jia. That was the first time I'm meeting Jia Jia, who looks a great deal like Stefanie Sun! (seriously) Before meeting her, I was told by Dou about that but when I really saw her, I was totally shocked. According to them, she got fatter recently (but still look like Stefanie Sun nonetheless because of her features) and she looks even more like her when she was thin!

Dou, me, ZY, Jia Jia.

They are really nice. Jia Jia is very friendly, funny and easy to get along with. And ZY is a great friend, fetching us to lots of places and letting us crash at her place.

And we kept camwhoring, because the wall is too nice! :D

That beautiful weekend ended indicating the starting of my internship. Work was great! It has been great for the first week. My supervisor is a great man, forever patiently teaching me stuffs I do not know.

I was assigned into the R&D department. The workplace was not big, so everyone is like a family member to each other. It's nice working in such environment. The colleagues there are very friendly. I have my own desktop in the R&D room, my own company's e-mail and we're allowed to on MSN but can only add two outsiders, other contacts are all colleagues.

Normal lunch place is at a market food court just behind the office. There is a large variety of food and the best of all, they're CHEAP! :D My supervisor brought me there last Friday, with another R&D colleague, Liew. I'm gonna be having lunch with Liew everyday since I feel most comfortable with him. (:

Mornings of working day are torturing. I have to wake up at 6am (which I usually drag until 6.15am), and reach the bus station at 6.50am to catch the only bus that can take me directly to my workplace through the bridge. The bus only will come every 2+1/2 hours which means if I miss the 7am bus I will have to wait until 9.30am for the next bus! The bus reaches my workplace ranging from 8 - 8.10am in the morning depending on the traffic condition at the bridge.

My actual working time was supposed to be 9am til 6pm but since I reached too early, my supervisor allowed me to start at 8.30 and finish at 5.30. Again, a great guy he is.Considerate. (:

Going back is fine, since my mom's friend who works nearby is fetching me. I reach home around 6.30pm everyday. Except for Friday, she finishes work earlier than me so I have to take bus home.

What I have been doing everyday at work for the past one week was using PHP to design an online web calculator for the company to calculate customers' billing. It's not tough as it is something I have been learning last semester in Web Programming. Many of my course mates are being assigned to do something which they totally never learn about. Is it a good thing? So they can learn new things? Hmph. ~-^

I have been listening to songs more than ever lately. My iPod nano has been much more significant (not that it was not). Been playing back old English songs and came to realise that old English songs are forever nice to listen to. By old I don't mean those oldies, but those songs we listened to when we were in high school, songs that are long forgotten. Like "As Long As You Love Me" by Backstreet Boys. I don't really like listening to new songs nowadays. Some are just stupid in terms of the lyrics. So, take a break from those and go dig out some old tunes now! You'll enjoy it for sure ;)

Have been spending most of my time with myself lately. Long working hours makes me treasure more of the time left. All I want to do after back from work is to have a nice shower, a nice meal and then sleep, which is totally unlike the previous me. I just love doing things alone. Dad just went out with his friends. So I came Starbucks to update my blog and do some stuffs online. And then I'm gonna go buy some daily needs.

Randomness:

Was packing the other day at my hostel and found this little drawing I drew of Shan, myself, Ting and roommate!

Cute hor? Say CUTE! LOL.

Lately I found myself attracted to the name Maddie Jones. ~-^ Saw it in a romance novel I flipped through the other day at MPH. So I put it as my MSN nick and told my roommate that I want to change my name as well, from Samantha to Madison (in full to Maddie). And she scolded me "siao". :( Maybe I can put my name as Samantha Madison? Lol. Kidding. I know that sounds funny.

That's all for now!
